ACRYLIC ROLLER TIME
I've been inspired lately by the ocean and trying to emulate the feels that one gets when you are standing in front of a vast body of salt water. Particularly those feels that often come with the crisp early morning dampness of the ocean at 6am when you need a light Lands End fleece and it smells like wet seaweed. This is my process.
Here is me taping down the images where they will live for 24-48 hours.
Supplies.
Putting the first layer of yellow down. Even if it doesn't show through every time, when it does it can make a huge difference in the depth of the painting.
The sky layer is a light light grey. After this I put the dark grey/blue water down.
Here are the results! Two similar (yet very different) early mornings on the water.
