ACRYLIC ROLLER TIME

I've been inspired lately by the ocean and trying to emulate the feels that one gets when you are standing in front of a vast body of salt water. Particularly those feels that often come with the crisp early morning dampness of the ocean at 6am when you need a light Lands End fleece and it smells like wet seaweed. This is my process.

Putting the first layer of yellow down. Even if it doesn't show through every time, when it does it can make a huge difference in the depth of the painting.

The sky layer is a light light grey. After this I put the dark grey/blue water down.
